"This is one of the most out-of-touch campaign launches in modern history. The only thing less relatable than a niche campaign launch on Twitter, is DeSantis' after party at the uber elite Four Seasons resort in Miami.

Everyday more and more Americans are realizing just how out of step Ron DeSantis is with their values and how unelectable he really is.  From his votes to cut Social Security and Medicare, to his support of a national sales tax that would raise taxes on 90% of families, to his vote in support of Obama's TPP which sent jobs to China, to his vote against funding for President Trump's wall, Ron DeSantis just isn't ready to be President.  President Trump is ready on day one to turn our country around, reverse Biden's disasterous policies and make America great again." --- Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for Make America Great Again Inc.

Background on Ron DeSantis:

We cannot afford to nominate a candidate that doesn’t have the track record and the plan to correct the dangerous course our nation is on starting immediately on Day One. President Trump has both the record and the agenda that demonstrates he is the only one who can fix our country.

Ron DeSantis, on the other hand, does not.

DeSantis has thrown his support behind disastrous ideas like co-sponsoring a 23 percent national sales tax not just once, but three times: in 2013, 2015, and 2017.

If our current tax system were to be replaced with a national sales like the one DeSantis wants to impose, it would be the middle class who suffers—90 percent of families would see a tax hike.

President Trump cut taxes massively—to the tune of $5.5 trillion. In one year, the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act put $2,000 directly back into the pockets of the average family. Working and middle-class Americans saw the most benefits, with individuals earning less than $100,000 annually having a 17 percent reduction in their tax bills.

DeSantis has also spent his career attacking senior entitlements. He voted to cut Social Security three times, supported Paul Ryan’s plan to cut benefits from Medicare, and raise the retirement age to 70.

President Trump has a proven record on protecting Medicare and our nation’s seniors. During his administration, he successfully lowered Medicare Advantage premiums by 34 percent nationwide to their lowest level in 14 years. President Trump also reduced Medicare Part D prescription drug premiums by $2 billion over his term while simultaneously enhancing Part D plans to provide patients with access to a broad set of insulins at a maximum monthly copay of $35. President Trump has committed to protecting these crucial services and securing Americans’ hard-earned benefits.

DeSantis has already shown he will toe the globalist line—while in Congress, he even voted to grant President Obama “fast-track” authority to negotiate the job-killing Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade deal. Thankfully, once President Trump took office, Americans finally had an expert negotiator and dealmaker in the White House to fight for them.

President Trump withdrew the U.S. from the TPP and ended the catastrophic NAFTA deal, replacing it with the United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement, which was projected to potentially create over 550,000 in its first decade. His administration also negotiated landmark trade deals with countries like Japan, South Korea, Argentina, and Brazil. He even secured a Phase One trade deal with China to begin holding them accountable for their economic warfare.

DeSantis even stood with globalists when he actually voted against a bill that included $1.6 billion in border wall funding. Luckily for the American people—and with no thanks to Ron DeSantis—President Trump succeeded in building and improving over 400 miles of the wall which successfully reduced border crossings in those areas by over 87 percent.

With over 6 million border patrol encounters of illegal immigrants under Joe Biden, it has never been clearer that we need someone ready to start the job straight away. There’s no time for on-the-job training. President Trump will be ready to go on his first day in office, ready to immediately ensure that the interests of forgotten Americans are once again defended both at home and abroad.
