Good evening,

The Washington Post/ABC News poll released today is worth discussing. In the words of ABC's George Stephanopoulos, "this poll is just brutal for President Biden."

The poll shows that Joe Biden isn't even well liked among Democrats and independents who lean Democrat. Among that group of voters, 58 percent want the Democratic Party to nominate someone other than Joe Biden as president.

It's unsurprising why they would feel that way. Americans see Joe Biden as a failure who is incapable of performing his duties. Biden's approval rating is at 36 percent and 63 percent of voters say that Joe Biden "does not have the mental sharpness to serve effectively as president."

Meanwhile, the poll is full of good news for President Trump.  A majority of voters, 54 percent, say that President Trump "did a better job handling the economy" than Joe Biden.

President Trump is of course the first choice of Republican voters. The poll found that President Trump has twice as much support as Ron DeSantis.

Finally, and most importantly, President Trump beats Joe Biden in a head-to-head general election matchup.  ABC: "Looking (far) ahead to November 2024, in a Biden-Trump matchup, 44% of Americans say they'd definitely or probably vote for Trump, 38% for Biden, with 12% undecided. When the undecideds are asked how they lean, it's 49-42%, Trump-Biden."

As Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene put it, "The 2024 Presidential primary and general is over. America wants President Trump’s back!"

    • Rep. Comer and Sen. Chuck Grassley revealed this past week that an FBI document exists “that describes an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions."
    • Breitbart's Joel Pollak reacted to this reveleation in a piece in which he argued: "President Joe Biden can be impeached for bribery, one of the two offenses specifically mentioned in Article II, Section 4 of the U.S. Constitution."

Millions of migrants are flocking to Mexico in anticipation of the end of the Title 42 this week:

  • President Trump invoked the public health authority known as Title 42 in 2020, which allowed border patrol to swiftly return illegal immigrants across the border. It is set to end on May 11.
    • President Trump "When I take the oath of office…we will immediately begin the process of fully securing the border and removing the illegal aliens Joe Biden has unlawfully allowed to break into our country.”
  • The New York Times reported that the end of Title 42 will bring a "new immigration surge."
    • Biden has already presided over the worst border crisis in American history.
      • A record breaking 2.7 million illegal immigrants were caught crossing the border in Fiscal Year 2022.
    • President Trump is planning for the "largest domestic deportation operation in American history."

Sen. Bill Hagerty: President Trump has the proven track record to get the country back on track

  • Sen. Hagerty (R-TN), who endorsed President Trump recently, spoke to Breitbart Saturday about how America needs Trump back in office.
    • “We need someone like President Trump that actually got us energy independent. You remember that? We’re in a far different place.. President Trump really has had the track record of doing it."
    • "I worked very closely with President Trump and we got some amazing things done in the Indo-Pacific region. If you think about it when we arrived, potentials were so high with North Korea. We got that calmed down...We saw stability in the region because people respected America again."
