It hasn't been a great day for Ron DeSantis.

Two different Congressmen from Florida, John Rutherford and Brian Mast announced their endorsement of President Trump. Seven Congressmen from Florida have now endorsed Donald Trump for President.

Congressman Lance Gooden also endorsed President Trump on Tuesday. He endorsed President Trump following a meeting with DeSantis in D.C.

"I met with Governor DeSantis, and he has done commendable work in Florida, there is no doubt in my mind that President Trump is the only leader who can save America from the leftist onslaught we are currently facing," Rep. Gooden said in a statement. "I wholeheartedly endorse President Donald J. Trump for the 2024 presidential election and vow to fight alongside him to reclaim our country from the leftist forces that threaten to destroy it."

It's not just lawmakers' lack of support for Ron DeSantis that has made this Tuesday particularly rough for the Florida governor, but the polling that was released continues to show Donald Trump is the favorite of Republican voters.

A New Hampshire poll from J.L. Partners that was conducted between April 2 and April 11 shows President Trump with a massive lead. President Trump leads with 51 percent and DeSantis follows at 18 percent. New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu is in third with 10 percent.

In a hypothetical head-to-head matchup in New Hampshire, President Trump is at 53 percent and DeSantis is 30 points behind at 33 percent.
