Joe Biden isn't just senile, he put our national security at risk.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Special Counsel Robert Hur's report found that Biden's "disclosure of classified information from his notebooks to his ghostwriter, risked serious damage to America's national security."

  • The DOJ found that Biden "willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen. These materials included (1) marked classified documents about military and foreign policy in Afghanistan, and (2) notebooks containing Mr. Biden's handwritten entries about issues of national security and foreign policy implicating sensitive intelligence sources and methods. FBI agents recovered these materials from the garage, offices, and basement den in Mr. Biden's Wilmington, Delaware home."

  • The classified information Biden unlawfully retained included "U.S. intelligence sources, methods, and capabilities," "U.S. military programs and capabilities," and "U.S. intelligence activities."

  • Hur's report noted that "Biden's public statements, during his vice presidency and after, demonstrate that understands 'classified information,' not merely marked classified documents, is what must be protected. These statements undercut his purported he lawfully retain the classified information in his notebooks."

  • CNN's legal analyst Elie Honig noted Thursday night that Robert Hur found that the "technical elements of a crime" were met.

  • Joe Biden repeteadly lied during his Thursday night press conference about the report.
    • Biden said that he "did not share classified information" with his ghostwriter. That's a lie. Special Counsel Robert Hur's report states that Biden's "disclosure of classified information from his notebooks to his ghostwriter, risked serious damage to America's national security."
    • Biden said, "All the stuff that was in my home was in filing cabinets that were either locked or able to be locked." That's false. The DOJ's report stated, "Among the places Mr. Biden's lawyers found classified documents in the garage was a damaged, opened box containing numerous hanging folders, file folders, and binders."
    • Biden said, "I’ve seen headlines since the report was released about my willful retention of documents. This assertion is not only misleading, it’s just plain wrong." That assertion is not "plain wrong." The DOJ's report noted that Biden "willfully retained and disclosed classified materials."

  • Former U.S. Attorney Brett Tolman said, "Imagine a private citizen 'willfully retaining and disclosing' classified material.  I’ve had several clients in that category. Every single one was charged.
