On September 8, 2022 -- Jose Antonio Ibarra was encountered by Border Patrol after illegally crossing the southern border.
Ibarra was soon "paroled and released" into the country. Last week, Ibarra was arrested for the murder of 22-year-old University of Georgia student Laken Riley.
In the days following Ibarra's illegal crossing of the border, Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre all insisted that the border was secure.
Kamala Harris told NBC on September 11, 2022: "We have a secure border."
Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters at a September 15, 2022 press briefing: "We agree that the border is secure."
Joe Biden also said on September 15, 2022: "We have a process in place to manage migrants at the border"
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris' idea of a "secure border" is one where millions, including killers, cross every single year.
