White House Lies - Biden Has Never Been To The Border

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Wednesday repeated what may be one of the more egregious lies of the Biden administration: that Joe Biden has been to the border.

Our take:

The White House continues to pretend that they are on top of the ongoing humanitarian and national security crisis at the southern border, however, border agents feel abandoned by the federal government while encounters with illegal immigrants continue to reach record highs. 

America is being destroyed by the invasion of our southern border. Lives are being lost, drugs are flooding our streets, and Joe Biden and the Radical Left would rather lie than address the problem.

President Trump delivered a secure border. He stood up and supported our law enforcement, and he continues to be the only Republican willing to fight back against the establishment of both parties.
Biden has blood on his hands as over 100,000 Americans are dying annually of drug overdoses.

Even the Washington Post’s “fact checker,” Glenn Kessler, couldn’t spin previous similar claims to the White House’s advantage: “We cannot find evidence that Biden at one point made a visit to the southern border.”

Jean-Pierre also claimed that “President Biden has been taking action to fix our immigration system and secure our border.” Republicans, Jean-Pierre claimed, are the ones who are not helping. 

This is another lie from the White House. Under Biden's direction, deportations have plummeted to the lowest number since 2008. A Border Patrol chief acknowledged in a deposition this summer that the lack of "consequences" under Biden is causing a surge of illegal migrants at the border. A record 2.7 million illegal immigrants crossed the border in Fiscal Year 2022.

Without secure borders, we cannot have a secure nation. Joe Biden has demonstrated a complete dereliction of his presidential duty. This repeated lie from the White House to cover up for the fact that the sitting president can’t be bothered to visit the southern border demonstrates an almost criminal level of neglect—Biden just does not care.

President Trump, on the other hand, visited the border within months of taking office, after making securing the border a cornerstone promise of his 2016 campaign—a promise he kept.

When he announced his intention to run in 2024, President Trump made special mention of “the now open and totally porous southern border.”

“Our southern border has been erased and our country is being invaded by millions and millions of unknown people…hundreds of thousands of pounds of deadly drugs, including very lethal fentanyl, are flooding across.”

This is a totally avoidable tragedy. Under President Trump, the southern border was as secure as it had ever been.

President Trump built over 400 miles of the world’s most advanced border wall and illegal crossings plummeted over 87 percent where the wall was completed. He instituted the “Remain in Mexico” policy to safely return asylum seekers to Mexico while they await hearings in the United States. President Trump also ended the dangerous practice of “catch-and-release,” which let untold numbers of illegal immigrants to disappear into our nation’s interior.

Biden has made it his administration’s goal to undo everything President Trump did to secure the border. President Trump secured the border once before. He can do it again.
